Local Attractions


Whimple - 2 miles

A small village with pub, post office, shop and train station with a direct line to the center of the cathedral city of Exeter. This journey only takes around 10 minutes.


Escot House, maze and woodland  - 2 miles

A place of great natural beauty, with woodland walks, restaurant and aquatic centre. Spend a day there, lots for both adults and children to enjoy.


Ottery St Mary - 3 miles

An historic town located in the tranquil Otter Valley. Famous for its rolling of tar barrels on November 5th. You can also enjoy a peaceful river walk or pay a visit to Cadhay, a beautiful Elizabethan manor house and gardens.


Killerton House - 6 miles

 A national trust property with beautiful   gardens.

  Honiton - 8 miles

 A friendly market town with twice weekly street markets. It is the main centre in the west country for antiques and is home to around 30 establishments. There is also a golf course and swimming pool located in the town and horse riding is available a short drive away.

Sidmouth - 13 miles

A seaside town on the Jurassic Coast world heritage site and South West Coast Path. In early August it hosts the annual Folk Festival which attracts musicians from around the world. The pretty villages of Branscombe and Beer are just a short drive away as is the world famous Donkey Sanctuary.
